The Moving Parts were from Boise, Idaho. Led by the Irwin brothers, they had a great original sound. The Moving Parts and us
had a similar
but different audience and between the two of us we could co-bill our first weekend stint at
the Hall of Fame.
Different rooms have different drink policy for the bands. Some
rooms -- like the Rainbow and the Central -- were quite generous. The Hall of Fame, on the other
hand, was downright tight: one free drink per band member then full price after that.
Ryco solved this problem with ingenuity by bringing in bottled Guinness beer in his sizeable bass cabinet and
we would stash the caps.
